Job Description

Solar PV System Technician “/ Installer is a person who is involved in implementing solar PV systems. The occupation involves in systems which are mainly connected to the electricity grid. Solar PV technician installs solar power components such as solar PV modules, Solar Inverters, and other components such as switch gear to ensure the system is installed as per the local guidelines.

Duties of the Job
● Fabricate Solar Mounting Structures
● Estimate cable distances
● Installation of electrical cables
● Installation of conducting works
● Plan and install cable trays
● Installation of electrical switch gate
● Installation of solar panels
● Basic electrical testing
● Aligning of solar module arrays using leveling tools
● Basic solar module testing
● Installation of solar PV inverters
● Preparation of job completion reports
● Estimating tool and component requirement for small scale
installations
● Involved in testing and commissioning of solar PV systems
