A Meteorological Technician is responsible for
observing, recording, and analyzing weather
conditions to support forecasting and climate
monitoring. The role involves operating and
maintaining meteorological instruments, collecting
and managing weather data, and ensuring accuracy
according to World Meteorological Organization
(WMO) standards. Meteorological Technicians also
assist in preparing and disseminating weather and
climate information for sectors such as aviation,
agriculture, marine, and disaster management, while
supporting training and awareness programs on meteorology.
